Investing in Our Mission
Each day Concordia University is alive with new initiatives ranging from plans for additional course offerings to plans for upgraded and new facilities – the list is ambitious. As Concordia’s financial partner, Concordia Foundation, Inc. is moving forward to enable the institution financial freedom to live out its vision.
Capital Projects
If Concordia University, Nebraska is to remain at the forefront of Christian higher education, the facilities must be available to help both students and faculty. Plans are now taking shape to further expand and enhance Concordia’s campus through additional new and improved facilities through a $60 million campaign, On A Mission. Preparing Servant Leaders for the Church and World. Your support of capital improvements is so important. You may provide a gift for general capital needs or inquire about special “naming” opportunities.
Endowment Gifts
Endowment gifts are secure, lasting opportunities for you to help Concordia. Designated or general, your gift holds value for years to come through sound investment. The principal is maintained; only the accrued interest is employed to meet intended need. Growing the endowment is the highest financial priority, and the Foundation is committed to ensuring that the University’s future is secure. By 2010, Concordia seeks to have an endowment of $100 million. Endowment gifts may be earmarked for student scholarships, faculty positions, facilities and technology, program support or unrestricted purposes. They may also be provided to help the administration and Board of Regents address special needs as they develop.
“For the Sake of the Church” Initiative
Martin Luther was very direct in declaring, “For the sake of the Church, we must have and maintain Christian schools.” The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod is dedicated to increasing support for the Concordia University System, which encompasses 10 LCMS colleges and universities. The goal throughout the decade is to double the number of LCMS students on Concordia campuses and increase general endowment for student financial aid by $400 million. Concordia University, Nebraska is an enthusiastic partner in the prophetic and cooperative effort of For the Sake of the Church.
