Article Body

Rev. Dr. Larry Krueger On Sunday, the university officially opened its 115th academic year with a worship service at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward. Rev. Larry Krueger, assistant to the president of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, served as the preacher. The service also recognized the new faculty and staff and those professors advancing in academic rank.

Rev. Scott Bruick, pastor of St. John, was the reader for the service and Rev. Ryan Matthias, campus pastor, served as the liturgist.

Over the weekend the dorms filled once again as students returned to campus. Freshman and transfer students were able to move in on Friday so that they could take part in a full weekend of orientation, service and social activities through the rest of their "Weekend of Welcome" to Concordia (images below).

Classes began Monday morning.
