Concordia won best of show for its float in Seward's Fourth of July parade this year. Concordia's parade entries, organized by the alumni and university events offices, have been recognized by parade officials five years in a row. Concordia alumna Tonia Nantkes led construction of the float this year (slideshow, below).

- 2006: Best of Show – “The Best Over All Entry”
- 2005: Chairman’s Award – “The Judge’s Choice”
