VB: Bulldogs move past Tigers into second round of GPAC tournament

The Concordia University volleyball team earned a first round GPAC tournament victory Thursday night, defeating the Dakota Wesleyan Tigers, 3-1 (25-18, 25-20, 23-25, 25-21) at the Doghouse in Seward, Neb.

The Bulldogs were led offensively by Dani Hoagland with 18 kills on 32 attempts while Lauryn Nyhoff added 10 kills. Nicki Axelson led the defense with 18 digs and Nyhoff added 13.

The victory allows the Bulldogs to move on to the second round of the GPAC tournament where they will face the No. 2 seed Morningside College Mustangs on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 7:30 p.m. in Sioux City, Iowa.
