The Concordia University, Nebraska volleyball team secured the No. 7 seed for the upcoming Great Plains Athletic Conference post-season tournament with a 3-1 (25-18, 20-25, 25-18, 26-24) victory over the Midland Lutheran College Warriors Tuesday night at the Doghouse in Seward, Neb.
The Bulldogs cruised in set one 25-18 before suffering a setback in set two falling 25-20. They then rallied in sets three (25-19) and four (26-24) to earn the victory.
Concordia was led offensively by Dani Hoagland with 12 kills on 21 attempts while Lauryn Nyhoff led the defense with 21 digs and Chelsea Vaudt added three solo and two assisted blocks.
The win moves the Bulldogs to 8-21 overall and 5-10 in the GPAC while the loss drops the Warriors to 2-24 overall and 2-14 in the GPAC.
With the victory Concordia earns the No. 7 seed for the post season tournament. Since the top seeds receive byes, the Bulldogs will host the No. 10 seeded Dakota Wesleyan Tigers on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in Seward, Neb.
