The Concordia University, Nebraska volleyball team dropped its Great Plains Athletic Conference opener Tuesday night to the Hastings College Broncos 3-0 at Lynn Farrell Arena in Hastings, Neb.
The Broncos, who received votes in the NAIA preseason poll, jumped on the Bulldogs early and made short work of the young Concordia team. The Bulldogs bowed out after three games, 25-18, 25-13, 25-17.
"Our serve receive was solid," said head coach Rachel Miller. "Our Blocking struggled, but we played much better tonight than we did over the weekend. We had a better rhythm but still need to be more aggressive on defense."
The Bulldogs get a chance to recover as they don't play again until September 9, in Omaha, Neb., against the College of St. Mary Flames.
