Profile Mark Lemke has taught at Concordia since the fall of 1992 when he joined the faculty as an assistant professor of physical education and head women’s basketball coach. In his six years as basketball coach, he compiled a record of 119-63, with two conference championships and two trips to the NAIA national tournament. In 1997, he took over the reins of the tennis program. He teaches a variety of science oriented and instruction oriented human performance courses. Lemke is a member of American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (AAHPERD) and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), as well as the honor societies Kappa Delta Pi, and Phi Kappa Phi.

Dr. Lemke's interests include the "burnout" phenomenon as it impacts educational and athletic professionals.
