Profile

James Bockelman began teaching at Concordia University in the spring of 1993. His teaching emphasis is in drawing and painting with an emphasis on recent directions in modern, contemporary art. An active studio artist, Bockelman’s art has been featured in one-person exhibitions at the Sheldon Memorial Gallery of Art in Lincoln and at the Museum of Nebraska Art in Kearney. A recipient of the 2007 Individual Artist Fellowship Merit Award from the Nebraska Arts Council, his work has been shown throughout the region and most recently in Berlin, Germany.
