Financial aid estimator

Interested in learning what financial aid you might qualify for?

Please note that this page is intended for students who are U.S. citizens that will be first-time college attendees. If you do not fit this criteria and would like a financial aid estimate please send an e-mail to admiss@cune.edu or call us at 800-535-5494.

For many families, financial aid for college is an extremely important concern; therefore we would like to offer you an opportunity to get an early start on the financial aid process.

After completing the steps outlined below, we will send you a Financial Aid Estimator which provides an estimate of your eligibility for financial aid from institutional, federal and state sources. The estimator will give you a clearer picture of what your final financial aid package might look like from Concordia.

In order for us to send you an accurate estimate we need to know your high school GPA, ACT/SAT test scores and estimated Expected Family Contribution (EFC).

High school GPA and test scores

High school GPA and test scores are needed for us to determine your eligibility for merit based awards.

Estimated Expected Family Contribution (EFC)

Institutional, federal and state need-based grants are available to all incoming students based on demonstrated financial need. In order to be eligible for need-based aid, the student must show demonstrated financial need. Financial need is the difference between the estimated cost of attendance for a school and the Expected Family Contribution (EFC). The EFC is based upon the information the family provides on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Factors such as income, assets, family size and the number of family members attending college full-time are considered in determining a family's EFC.

Using the FAFSA4caster tool

Since the FAFSA cannot be filed until after Jan. 1 of a student's senior year in high school, the U.S. Department of Education has developed the FAFSA4caster as an early EFC estimation tool. The FAFSA4caster does not replace the need to file the FAFSA after January 1st. When you are ready to file the FAFSA, you can easily transition from the FAFSA4caster to completing the FAFSA on the web. Much of the information that you enter in the FAFSA4caster will populate your FAFSA application, making the experience of filing the FAFSA a lot easier.

Please be advised that the EFC provided from completing the FAFSA4caster is only an estimate. The EFC from officially filing the FAFSA may be dramatically different. The accuracy of the estimate will depend on the accuracy of the information you provide. Here is what we need you to do in order for us to get your estimated EFC:

  1. Complete the FAFSA4caster.
  2. Print and keep the final page that shows your estimated EFC.
  3. Let us know your estimated EFC (see below).
