The Homecoming celebration highlighted the contributions and long history of instrumental music at the university as well as adding the Homecoming Fair to the schedule.
Faculty & staff break giving records
Concordia’s faculty and staff were challenged to meet a $1.75 million goal for raising funds toward Concordia’s Imagine The Mission campaign, which they reached and surpassed.

Finding God's path in Jakarta
Darrell ’68 and Sue (Denton) ’69 Van Luchene have lived overseas for 21 of the last 25 years. They work in the Pelita Harapan schools in the Republic of Indonesia where Darrell is the school system’s headmaster and Sue is a curriculum coordinator and teacher trainer.

Alumnus Carl Langefeld (’83) is hunting for genes that predispose people to diseases or conditions that lead to a public health burden such as diabetes, lupus or juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. One of Langefeld’s closest collaborators is Concordia graduate Tasha E. Fingerlin (Obermueller ’97).
More Than a Sunday
St. John’s Lutheran Church and School in Platte County, Neb., may be out in the middle of nowhere, but its ministries have flourished. Few congregations in the nation have more students at Concordia than St. John’s.

Concordia welcomes news of alumni accomplishments and other milestones in the lives of alumni. It is preferred that alumni news be submitted directly by the featured alumni rather than a third party so accuracy may be verified. When submitting a death notice, please send a copy of the obituary, if possible, and include the names and class years of any survivors who attended Concordia in Nebraska. All submitted items may be edited.
